Sidmouth were in good form winning overall by 82 shots to 46 and by two rinks to one.

The best home rink comprised Alastair McGregor, Bill Dunbar, Anita Mason and skip John Mason and they won by 40 shots to 7.

On Friday afternoon Derek Mountford, Peter Mison and skip Ron Cook travelled to Isca to play for the Vice President’s Association together with another seven club teams representing the VPA, playing eight triples’ teams from Isca. A thoroughly competitive and enjoyable afternoon was had by all with Isca winning on the day.

The Ladies Pairs semi-finals have now been played and the finalists are Margot Beauchamp and skip Paddy Wrench who will be playing Ann Elwood and skip Jane Painter.

The finalists in the Ladies Singles will be Jill Bishop and Zena Johnson.

The finalists in the Joan Jeffrey completion will be Jackie Godbeer, Jean Green and skip Jill Bishop against Connie Tolley, Doreen Pound and skip Zena Johnson.

The Mixed Pairs semi-finals are still to be played. Well done, to all those ladies through to the finals.

On Saturday afternoon Dunkeswell came to Sidmouth to play a mixed rinks match. Unfortunately, they were only able to bring nine players so Sidmouth provided the missing three players.

Thanks must go to David Fairclough, and Sylvia and Ron Cook for stepping in at short notice to play for them.

Sidmouth won the day by 65 shots to 52 and by two rinks to one. Well done, to our best rink Susie Bonnell, Chris Radburn, Wilf Radburn and skip Ed Backhouse who won by 22 shots to 12.
