Sidmouth ladies’ success for Tims and Lye in Ping competition

This Wednesday the ladies played in the Warren Crocus competition, writes Penny Ashby.

The winners continue to the next round at Dawlish Warren. The Silver section was won by Julie Lye and Sheila Thomson with 32 points. Marie Timms and Penny Lyne were runners-up. In the Bronze section, Angie Coles and Liz Chance proceed to Dawlish with their 30 point score. Andrea Milton and Rosemary Walker were runners-up in this section after countback was called into play.

Last Friday the Ping competition was won by Marie Timms and Julie Lye, who go forward to the next round.

On Sunday the Mixed Friendly team had another good win at home by a margin of four-and-a-half to two-and-a-half against High Bullen.
