Sidmouth’s Moray Bosence starts with a victory in the East Devon League

With the weather claiming the victory in Sidmouth, the East Devon League players travelled to Exminster to take on Fingle Glen, writes Chris Roberts.

Moray picked some strong pairs to secure his first victory as captain. The opening match was Moray and Will Hastie who where unable to get the team of to a winning start losing two-and-one.

The next pairing of Martin White and Lee Wenham got Sidmouth’s first point of the day winning one-up.

The momentum went with Sidmouth with Stuart Coles and George Barber winning three-and-two, putting Sidmouth into a 2-1 lead.

Fingle Glenn levelled the match with Paul Lewis and Trevor Kerridge losing three-and-one.

Moray then had to wait for his last pairing of Chris Lewis and Paul (Pete) Renken to know the result. The dup did not disappoint winning two-and-one, leaving the final score 3-2 in Sidmouth’s favour.

Next up for Moray and his players is Honiton which is always a tough match.
