Archant

On Friday a relatively small field of players took to the course for the Sidmouth Jewellers meeting and with Dolly on his mind, Craig ‘Mr Golf’ Melluish took top spot with 39 points which included a birdie start on the first, writes Chris Roberts.

Once in the clubhouse Mr Golf announced that his pair of Dolly Parton concert tickets was the inspiration for his winning score.

Steve Channing secured second place with 38 points which included two blob holes!

A point on either would have seen him take top spot on countback.

Harry Tincknell ‘raced’ onto the podium in third place with 36 points.

John Jones secured fifth which has resulted in him stretching his lead to six points at the top of the Friday league table.

With no two’s carded this week it’s a rollover!
