Toucans net second successive success of Honiton Netball League season

21:50 03 July 2014

Sidmouth Toucans claimed a second successive victory in the Honiton Summer Netball League earlier this week.

What’s more this success was most convincing with Toucans emerging 61-47 victors.

Lucy Davies served up a superb individual shift at wing attack and hers was the biggest smile post match as she celebrated her first win in Toucan colours since joining the club last September.

It was also a great night for defensive player Sarah Fletcher who picked up the award of Player of the Match.

Now the Toucans face their biggest challenge of recent times. After back-to-back wins can they make it three-in-a-row when they return to the court early next week?

Toucans team: Helen Terry, Louise Neilson (the pair shared the GS/GA positions), Vicki Russell (WD), Jo White (WD), Rachel ‘stamina’ Darlami, Lucy Davies (WA), Sarah Burston (GD) and Sarah Fletcher (GK).
