The glorious weather of Sunday morning saw 29 players continue their preparations for the coming season at Sidmouth, writes Jonathan Lee.

Lee Wenham led the way with 37 points with a highlight of his round being a brace of twos on the way home.

It was all good enough to eventually win on countback from the in-form Vernon Ruffle. Graham Davies pipped Ray Gunston for third on 35.

The success for Wenham takes him level at the head of the Winter League table with Dancin’ Derek Platten.

Gunner lies just behind in third and the overall title looks to be between these three.
