A prize draw, with the chance to win £1,000, has been announced by the organisers of Sidmouth Folk Festival.
Tickets are already on sale at the Tourist Information Centre and will be available during the festival at merchandising stalls and at other venues.
The festival runs from Friday, August 4 until Friday 11, with two pre-festival special concerts: Fisherman’s Friends on Thursday 3, and Barbara Dickson on the afternoon of Friday 4. The draw will be made on Thursday, August 10 at the evening Ham Marquee concert.
The Grand Draw is being promoted by Sidmouth FolkWeek Ltd, which is the charity arm of the festival. Charity chair and regular festival MC Derek Schofield said: “This is a new initiative to help support the extensive workshop and participation programme.”
As well as the £1,000 for the winning ticket, there is the chance to win £200 along with many other prizes.
