It looks all set to be yet another cloudy and damp week of weather in the South West.

That is according to the Met Office weather forecast for the week starting from today (Monday, January 29).

At the start of the week, expect occasional outbreaks of rain, particularly in Cornwall, with a mild breeze arriving from the west.

Monday night will stay cloudy, with highs of 13°C and lows of 5°C.

This pattern will continue into Tuesday morning but things will turn drier with lighter winds and some sunshine towards the afternoon.

Temperatures sit around average, with highs of 10°C.

Beyond that, prepare for a windier Wednesday with some rainfall.

Looking to Thursday and Friday, more cloudiness, patchy drizzle, and brief sunny spells will prevail.

Elsewhere, there will be a “three-way split” in weather conditions across the UK today, with a yellow rain warning issued for north-west England.
