Children at Tipton St John Primary are helping their teacher to raise money for International Animal Rescue.

Naomi Garrick, a keen runner, is undertaking four tough running challenges over three months. Her pupils in Hazel Class are planning their own running event at Tipton Fields, on Monday March 11 or (if wet) Tuesday 12, to help boost the fundraising.

They also dressed up as animals for a presentation telling the rest of the school about the charity.

Naomi is the social secretary of Sidmouth Running Club and the holder of two Guinness World Records for being the fastest woman to run a marathon dressed as a bride and a doctor.

She is fundraising in memory of her mother, who devoted her life to animals, and has already completed the Four Trigs on February 4 and the Brighton Half Marathon on February 24, dressed up as a Dalmatian. The next two will be the 20-mile Gruelling Grizzly on March 17 and the 22-mile Exe to Axe on April 7, also in her dog costume.
