Exeter-based Met Office has extended its yellow weather warning for wind across Devon on Thursday (March 28).
The first alert was issued yesterday due to expected strong winds which could cause 'hazardous conditions' from 7am until 6pm on Wednesday. This has now been extended from 7am to 23.59pm today.
People living in coastal areas are particularly at risk due to large waves. There is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected.

A spokesman for the Met Office said: "There is a slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
"There is also a small chance that injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties
"And a small chance that some roads and bridges could close."
