Ottery St Mary U18s progressed to the next round of the League Cup with an excellent 5-1 win over their counterparts from Crediton United.
The Otters burst out of the blocks, Jake Haggerty forcing a top save from the Creddy custodian but Luke Paramore was in the right place to slot home the rebound. One became two just before half-time, Jack Drew-Cull and Louis Stephen combining to release Paramore for his second.
A top tackle from Charlie Parker kept the momentum flowing in Ottery’s favour and Paramore completed his hat-trick after good play from Makan Coulibaly.
Crediton did pull a goal back following a lovely team move but this seemed to upset the Otters, who won the ball in midfield through Haggerty and Stephen then provided the pass for Drew-Cull to convert. Victory was confirmed by a fifth from Coulibaly.
Man of the match was shared by Louis Stephen and Ethan Hawes.
