Exeter City’s Under-18s kept up their good form on Saturday thanks to a 3-1 home victory over Bristol Rovers U18s in the Youth Alliance South West division.

The breakthrough came courtesy of the match’s first moment of real quality. After recycling a corner, Jake Richards curled a delicious ball into the danger area, and Joe Wragg glanced a header inside the far post to hand his team the lead.

Brad Miller’s men doubled their lead just before the interval. A long clearance was directed towards Alfie Clark, however he, and his marker, both missed the ball on halfway. Wragg raced onto it and dribbled to around 35 yards out, before the Exeter winger sent a delicate lob over the Pirates goalie for 2-0.

Rovers pulled one back with a penalty but the Grecians responded well, and with 15 minutes remaining, they re-established their two-goal lead thanks to a sweeping move, which was ultimately finished off by Cunningham.
