Sidmouth Surf Life Saving Club Youth Team (Age 15-17) took a small team of 10, to the Annual Devon Surf Life Saving Pool Championships, held in a 50m Pool at Mount Kelly School in Tavistock - the first time the club athletes have competed in a 50m pool.
Competing against all Devon clubs, Sidmouth had some fantastic results, with outstanding team and individual performances.
Sidmouth placed fourth overall (against much larger teams) and came home with 6 Individual Medals: 3 x Gold, 3 x Silver and a further 2 Team Medals: 1 x Silver, 1 x Bronze.
Outstanding winning performances from Noah Thairs in the Manakin Carry and Manakin Carry with Fins and Jake Phare in the Rescue Medley.
Another amazing result from the Sidmouth Surf Lifesaving team and reward for all the hard work behind the scenes from coaches, volunteers and the young participants.
