A special dining event, using locally sourced produce, will be held at Higher Wiscombe, in Colyton, on October 15.

The evening is being held in aid of Hospiscare, by the luxury holiday cottage business Higher Wiscombe and Ottery's Rusty Pig.

Robin Rea, from the Rusty Pig, said he will always be grateful for how the charity looked after his father, at the end of his life.

He said: "We're extremely fortunate to have Hospiscare as a free service in our area, helping those who have a terminal illness and the families trying to do the best they can."

A 'Jumblebee' auction is being held with prizes including stays at Higher Wiscombe and Cuckoo Down Farm.

Tickets are £45, plus a booking fee, and available via Eventbrite.
