SIR - Reflecting on the recent horse meat scandal, I hope that people are starting to recognise that knowing where their food comes from and the chain it has gone through to get there is important to them.
We have many small local farmers and enterprises that are trying to provide produce at as low a cost as possible. I am asking that people support those businesses in the form of buying local from such opportunities as the Sidmouth Community Market, held on the second Saturday of every month at St John Ambulance Hall. The next one is this weekend March 9.
