MADAM - Every year, Churches and Schools and various organisations in Sidmouth fill Shoe Boxes for Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan's Purse.

This is just a reminder that now is the time to start filling those boxes for deprived children. Primley Church is one of the many drop-off points for collection of the boxes.

We do have boxes to spare and the important leaflet that must accompany every box that is sent. Every leaflet tells you where the Shoe Boxes are sent, suitable items to pack and age groups of boys and girls and a wallet to put in your donation of 2.50 (for transport costs) or you can donate online.

There are knitting and crochet patterns for hats, bags, puppets and soft toys available, or you can download from the Samaritan's Purse website.

We request that Shoe Boxes taken to Primley URC are in by the closing date of Friday October 30, between 10.30 am and 12 pm. There will be a service of Blessing and Dedication on Sunday November 1 by Reverend Jeff Armistead. We work alongside the Methodist Church and both churches have representatives you can contact. Our contact is the Church Secretary, Primley URC - Telephone 01395 578352. We can collect filled boxes.

A big thank you to all those people that have supported the work of this charity in past years.
