On behalf of the trustees of the Sid Valley Food Bank I wish to express our sincere appreciation to Mark Shepherd, the manager of Waitrose, for allowing our volunteers to be at the store last Friday and Saturday to receive items of non-perishable food kindly donated by customers.
The selection of tins and packets has greatly boosted our stocks and will allow us to continue assisting local people, who are assessed by the agencies to be in food crisis.
The number of individuals and families coming to obtain food at our sessions on Friday afternoon between 1pm and 3 pm is increasing week by week.
