SIR - I would like to express my thanks to all those who generously contributed to my recent charity event for the work of PLAN in Haiti.
PLAN is a child-centred community development organisation with no religious and political affiliations, enabling families and communities in the poorest countries to make lasting improvements to the lives of their children.
In Haiti, PLAN has already rebuilt 50 earthquake proof schools and is continuing to provide long-term help.
The fundraising evening was a great success and enjoyed by all.
Together we raised �118.50 via Sam Nicholls of The Body Shop At Home, who provided our demonstration and raffle prize.
