SIR - On behalf of the Royal British Legion, Sidmouth Branch, I would like to thank all those who so kindly helped to make the Royal British Legion cream tea on the Triangle last Saturday, marking Armed Forces Day and 90 Years of the Legion, such a success.
In particular, I would specially like to mention Alan and Liz Smith of the Cheeseshop for their very kind donations of clotted cream and jam, Mr and Mrs Kerridge of Vinnicombes for supplying the scones at a much reduced rate and, finally, Grace Essex, chairperson of the Trefoil Guild, for her and her wonderful ladies for running the stall for the afternoon, without whom we could not possibly have managed.
Last, but not least, I would like to mention all who helped to set up and take down the stalls and bunting.
