SIR - Following the special coffee morning and sale held in the Sidmouth Methodist Church Hall we wish to report that the very satisfactory total of £600 was raised.
The proceeds have been paid over to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) for the relief work of the various charities working in Burma and China.
David and Mavis Baldock's colourful performance with their street organ was a great help and a pleasurable attraction to locals and visitors.
We wish to thank everyone who supported the event.
