SIR - Couldn’t the Christmas decorations have been put up in Sidmouth on any other day but Remembrance Day?

ED: Torbay Display began erecting Sidmouth’s Christmas lights last Wednesday and were finishing on Friday. They stopped work during the two minutes’ silence on 11/11/11. With so many displays to erect before December, the company has no alternative but to work each day.
