May I say ‘thank you’ to Mrs R M Richardson and Dr John Rees for enlightening me on the history of the two photographs that I submitted recently of storm damage on the Esplanade.
I have since acquired the relevant Sidmouth books referred to in Mrs Richardson’s letter, and found them most fascinating!
