Being the silly season, two features of the Ottery Herald dated July 19 made me chuckle.
The front page story concerned a naked man and I wondered if being nude at Prickly Pear in all that gorse and heather might result in a prickly pair.
Retreating to the safety of “Local entertainment” on page 42, I was amazed to find “Wind performance at Cadhay tea rooms” – just what are they putting in the sandwiches these days to cause such explosions?
