The public may know that any formal complaints dealt with by East Devon District Council’s monitoring officer, together with her answer, are in strict confidence.
A pity that Mark Williams, EDDC’s chief executive, ‘forgot’ this, when revealing to the last full council meeting not only that a formal complaint had been made, against Conservative whip Phil Twiss, but identifying the complainant!
