Optician went above & beyond
Madam - In these days of gloom and despondency, I would like to convey my sincere thanks to Mr Frederick McShaw (McShaws Opticians).

On Thursday, I had a late appointment at 6.30pm as I was experiencing vision problems in one of my eyes. He immediately contacted the eye department at the R, D and E and insisted that I was seen that evening as an emergency.
After putting his own evening arrangements "on hold", he then accompanied myself to the hospital, remained throughout the examination and, because I was not allowed to drive, he drove me home. During all these events there was no question of payment or reward, it was just part of his care for his patients. A very selfless act, thank you again. This to me was far above any expectations of an optician and Sidmouth should be very proud to have such a caring man in our community.
