SIR - I would like to express my gratitude for the overwhelming support the cast, production team and I received from everyone who came to see the play Elizabeth and Mr Hunter.
I was really moved by the enthusiasm and goodwill which made this a real community event. From all the hard work put in by members of the Sid Vale Community Productions, the URC opening its doors to us, the Sid Vale Association’s Keith Owen Fund grant to local businesses The Anchor and Taste supplying interval refreshments.
Hard working church members bravely offered interval tea and coffee to often over 80 a night and a staggering 276 was collected for Exeter Shilhay Community for the homeless and vulnerably housed and 130 for Sidmouth Living With Cancer group.
Further thanks go to the Sidmouth Herald for all the support given to us.
Christine Hardy, Sidmouth
