SIR - This is a thank you to Goronwy Thom and all who made this month's Variety by the Sea possible. Firstly, the show itself was awesome in every way. The skill and professionalism of all the acts is a pure joy to watch and it's funny, so very funny. From start to finish it takes you on a journey of being amazed at the endless talent to the pain of side-splitting laughter. I do not need to go into detail of my favourite bits as anyone who saw it loved it all in different ways and each and every one of us who went has a bit they liked most, whether it was the beautifully-shot film of Mr Thom himself running to the theatre or the very special happy song by Herbie Treehead. We, as residents of a small seaside town, are very privileged to have such wonderful entertainment on our doorstep and it seems to be getting better every time! I feel that, although we were all watching juggling, dancing and singing, what I was really captured by was the characters of the people on the stage. They have an amazing ability to take a group of strangers and for two hours show them the more enjoyable side of life.Guy RussellMalvern RoadSidmouth
