I am writing an open letter to thank all the very kind and compassionate people who stopped to help my eight-year-old daughter and I last Thursday afternoon in Station Road, when we had the most horrific car crash.
Thankfully, we survived, albeit with many bumps, cuts and bruises.
To a lady called Carol from Newton Poppleford who stayed with me and comforted my daughter until the ambulance took us to the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, the men and women who stopped to help us with first aid, calling the emergency services, speaking to my husband and generally looking after our wellbeing as it was very distressing, I am sending a huge heartfelt thank you from Cathryn and I.
I’m sorry for the delays caused to your journeys but your kindness will always be remembered.
