MADAM - Our group were recently visited by Mr McShaw, of McShaws Opticians, High Street, Sidmouth, and we would like to publicly thank him and inform the general public of the necessity to have regular eye check-ups.
He gave a talk on eyesight and how to look after our eyes. With the emphasis on having our eyes tested on a regular basis. He also stressed the necessity for people with Diabetes to be aware of how the disease can effect their eyes, with the need for them to have more regular tests.
His talk was most enjoyable and we all learnt a lot. I would like to thank him, through the Herald, for his efforts and to stress to members of the public to take heed of his advice and have regular eye tests. This does not just apply to those already suffering from an illness, but it is good advice to all people, young and old. He stated that most eye illnesses can be treated if the problems are found at an early stage.
