SIR - Having read the article in the Sidmouth Herald (January 20) about Jacob’s Ladder, I am appalled to see it wanting a coat of paint.
As a landmark in Sidmouth, it is the first of the tourist attractions that should be cared for every year.
Surely there are volunteers around or community service people that can keep it in the prime condition that it deserves.
