SIR - I love Sidmouth, and feel so sad every time I walk along her lovely beach and see a new rock fall.
It is very interesting, I suppose, if you are a geologist but I do not understand the argument that to preserve the Jurassic Coast we have to let it erode. Surely the most important thing is to preserve Sidmouth and to keep its inhabitants safe.
I hope that the East Devon District Council listens to the people of Sidmouth because it seems that it is waiting for another major flood in the town before it will do anything practical.
