The total amount collected for the Poppy Appeal this year in Sidbury, Sidford and Newton Poppleford is £6,207 – of which £5,192 was collected in Sidbury and Sidford and £1,015 in Newton Poppleford.
The figures are about 10 per cent down on last year, but there are still some monies to come.
Despite the reduction on last year’s figures, in these difficult times it is an excellent result and I am very grateful to all who donated, to the collectors and traders who had collection boxes on their premises
