SIR - Further to your article “Pecorama say farewell to ‘well-liked’ Sue” in the Sidmouth Herald, I’d like to clarify that she received a laptop computer system and printer, in addition to the camera and flowers mentioned.
She had recently retired after 42 years in the factory at Peco. I worked with her for many years and she was an incredible production worker with a work ethic rarely matched. Spending the last 20 years of service packing thousands of products ach year, Sue has seen many changes over the years to this ever growing company.
Sue enjoyed a farewell party with a selection of past and present staff in the Boardroom as well a presentation. A complete multi-media system was presented as acknowledgement for her outstanding contribution within the company. It was a lovely gift and will allow her to keep in contact with all her friends and family.
