FLAG Day generosity from Sidmouth residents visitors has bagged the town's lifeboat service more than �1,000- which could be a record.
The event, on July 19, saw the town's crew set up a special station in the town, parking the lifeboat and trailer in the Square.
Sidmouth Lifeboat trustee Freddy Wedderburn said: " We raised �1,015, I'm not sure if that's not a record. Thanks to the community and visitors for giving us that support.
