Scouts who directed shoppers to parking spaces at a Sidmouth supermarket in the run-up to Christmas were rewarded for their efforts with more than £1,000.
The 1st Sid Vale volunteers wore high-visibility jackets and wielded lollipops to point the way to vacant bays at Waitrose.
Chairman Gareth Hughes said: “I would like to say a big thanks to everyone who supported us.
“Helping with the car parking is great fun and we were well supported by parents, leaders and youngsters.”
The final total came to £1,036.02, which will boost the coffers of their project to build a new headquarters in the Salcombe Recreational Field.
