OTTERY's new community facility has been named The Old Town Convent by residents.
More than 200 people descended upon the Broad Street premises last Saturday to get their first sneak peak inside the building, which will act as a new home for the town council and neighbourhood police team.
Mayor Glyn Dobson thanked residents for the strong turnout and said the response justified the council's decision to buy the site last year.
