MORE than 200 people from churches throughout the Sid Valley joined in the annual Good Friday Walk of Witness.

MORE than 200 people from churches throughout the Sid Valley joined in the annual Good Friday Walk of Witness.

The event, organised by Churches Together in Sidmouth, started with a reading and a prayer by the Reverend Prebendary David James on The Esplanade.

John Defoe carried a symbolic wooden cross as the procession moved to Market Place where it stopped for a reading and prayer by Canon Paul Cummings.

Mr and Mrs Tyler gave a further reading and prayer outside the Methodist Church.

The walk continued to the All Saints’ Church lawn for a final reading and prayer by the Reverend Roger Trumper.

A united all-age service followed inside the church.
