Budleigh men were in action in the second round of the Parrott Trophy, writes David Roberts.
The competition format is one rink home and one rink away with the opposition being Exeter-based Isca with Budleigh very much the underdogs and facing quite a challenge.
There were good performances all round from the Budleigh men, who were in contention at both venues only for the ISCA team to show their superiority in the last few ends of the matches to win the tie by a margin of nine shots at 48-39.
Congratulations go to ladies of Maderia, as the Budleigh ladies were well beaten in the preliminary round of the Top Club competition.
