Ottery St Mary Primary School’s junior cycling hill climb event returns this year to test the young competitors’ skills and determination.
The popular challenge takes place for the early years found stage year three children on Thursday, April 29 at 4pm and on Friday, April 30, it’s the turn of the year four to year six pupils.
The school’s announcement read: “Get ready to join our brave boys and girls and cheer them up while they honour the school motto - ‘Push yourselves and have a go’ - by taking on the mighty field to playground path.”
Headmaster David Goldthorpe thanked Richard Mardle and George Gori from Saddleback in Bristol for their support and sponsorship of the event, which had to be cancelled last year because of the coronavirus pandemic. Thanks to their generosity every child taking part in the climb will receive a prize.
