MORE than 90 Tipton St John residents turned out to see plans to construct new homes in the village last Thursday.
Devonshire Homes wants to build a mix of affordable and private houses on land south of Otter Close and wanted community feedback on issues such as housing mix, design and layout.
Steve Russell, Devonshire Homes' land and planning director said: "We consider that the event proved most worthwhile and will be reviewing the feedback received over the coming weeks, which will help to inform our thinking about the proposals.
"With a housing need in the district, particularly in its more rural areas, coupled with the current climate in which many schemes are being placed on hold or failing to come forward, these plans present a great opportunity."
The company will develop its plans over the coming months and plans to return to the village early next year.
