A CHEQUE for £3,250.37 has been presented to FORCE cancer charity by Masquerade amateur dramatics company based in Newton Poppleford.
Ken Davis and Ray Pickworth from Masquerade presented the cheque to Meriel Fishwick, FORCE's chief executive and centre manager.
Also present were Stephanie Kinson of Masquerade and Roger Duggan, FORCE fundraiser co-ordinator.
The money was raised at the Sausage and Mash Suppers with two one-act plays recently performed at St Francis Hall, Woolbrook, and Tipton St John community hall.
FORCE is the Exeter-based cancer charity that helps sufferers and carers from its headquarters in the grounds of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
Boosting the fund this year was the £551 raised through the raffling of a Christmas cake made by Val Boyle of Tipton St John.
The cake, which was won by a couple from Metcombe, was enjoyed by 300 pensioners after a carol service at St Leonard's Church.
