THE CHANNEL swimming 'Team Fitz' celebrated their achievement at Beer Beach on Saturday with a cheque presentation.
Mark Whittle accepted the £12,191.08 cheque on behalf of the three charities supported by the team, Exeter Leukaemia Fund, the Motor Neurone Association and Rays of Sunshine.
Geoff Hulley, past president of the Otter Vale Rotary Club, who made a large donation on behalf of the club, along with five other representatives joined in the celebrations.
The team are still collecting online at www.swimlikeafitz.co.uk for another two months and other functions are still to take place.
