A POLICE chase ended with a car hitting a grass bank near East Hill this morning.
The pursuit took place after a driver failed to stop for police at the end of East Hill at around 11am.
Following a short chase a police spike was device laid on the road, puncturing the car's front tyres before it hit a grass bank and came to rest in Fire Beacon Lane.
A man was arrested and is currently helping police with their enquiries at Exeter Police Station.
