A RIOT of colour awaits visitors to a Sidford garden, which is opening its gates for charity.Diana Robert Shaw, of 24 Windsor Mead, has been pruning, watering and weeding to make sure her garden is at its best for visitors during Devon Air Ambulance's Welcome Garden event.Mrs Robert Shaw said: "Last year we raised £750. We really want to reach £1,000. Last year we won the large and medium sized award for the Sidmouth area."We have an enormous mix of plants. We have magnolias, daffodils and forget-me-nots. We've got some rare plants as well, such as a euphorbia which has beautiful lemon coloured flowers."The garden will open from 10.30am until 5pm from Thursday, April 10, until Saturday, April 12, and entry is £2.50 with all money going to the air ambulance.Mrs Robert Shaw's garden will also be open from May 8 to 10 and June 26 to 28.
