CHILDREN attending Sidford Playgroup can now keep their hands clean after messy and fun games thanks to a new portable sink.A recent Ofsted report suggested better facilities for hand washing would improve hygiene.Following the report, Nick and Helen Keast, whose child attends the playgroup, decided to raise the cash to pay for the hot water unit.Playgroup chair Kelly Foster said: "Ofsted said a portable unit would be better than children washing their hands in the bowl we were using."Mr and Mrs Keast are the organisers of the Four Trigs running event and this year they gave us £450."She said now the children can just press a button and clean their hands whenever they need to."It was wonderful of Mr and Mrs Keast to raise the money, the kids think it is good fun and it has been a great success."South West Water also chipped in the extra £100 needed.
