Vandals have admitted graffiti-ing paths and seating in the Land of Canaan following a public appeal by Ottery police.
PCSO Jonathan Sims thanked the community for pulling together to provide information and cleaning up the ‘mindless vandalism’ last Friday evening.
Three young people have admitted to causing the damage and will work with the police and the district council.
Police took to Facebook to appeal for information after seats and pathways in the Land of Canaan had been painted white by vandals, but had hoped the paint would be able to wash off.
PCSO Sims thanked Abbots DIY for supplying cleaning products and Cranbrook window cleaner for lending pressure washing equipment. The officer said: “The police would also like to the community for providing information on the possible offenders, several young persons have now admitted causing the damage and are currently being dealt with by police.”
