A pair of Sidmouth students need to raise thousands of pounds for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Borneo, where they will be helping to build schools and replant rainforests.
Emily Hadfield and Jess Truman, both aged 15, need to raise £4,200 each in order to take the trip with a group of fellow Sidmouth College students next year. The pair have organised a fundraising ladies’ fashion show and pop-up shop - those who attend will be able to buy clothes from their favourite brands at 50 per cent off and more. Emily’s mum, Sara Hadfield, said they did something similar a couple of years ago for her other daughter. She added: “It was really good and everyone raved about it. Everybody has been asking when we will do another one. It will be a fun girls’ night out, suitable for teenagers right up to seniors.”
The event will be held at Sidmouth College on Thursday, May 10, from 7pm. Tickets are £6 and include a glass of wine. Call 07791 606101 to buy yours.
