A little girl followed in her mum and aunt’s footsteps to read 100 books within a year.
Beth Conway, like Kate and Cathy before her, completed the Book Track challenge with a focus on stories about witches and unicorns.
The West Hill Primary School pupil picked up her award at Sidmouth Library on Monday.
Mum Kate said: “My sister and I both did it when we were growing up in the Lake District. She’s following in a family tradition – she’s quite keen to be like me and her auntie.
“Beth likes the Worst Witch and Titchy Witch series, and she also likes unicorns.
“I think her plan now is just to keep reading. She loves it.
“We’re just going to keep encouraging her to go back to the library.
“She loves writing stories. She wrote one about a little star recently.
“Reading has kept her busy over the summer. It’s a good way to keep her occupied.”
