Fundraisers at a respite charity were delighted to receive £285 from the Community Matters scheme at Sidmouth’s Waitrose.
Mike Rock, who chairs the town’s fundraising for Dream-a-Way, said: “We are very grateful to the staff and management at Waitrose and to all the shoppers who popped their green coin in our slot. This money will help to benefit local people with disabilities.”
Waitrose’s Community Matters scheme sees shoppers vote for their favourite cause with a green token to get a share of £1,000.
