Changes to make next year’s competition open to all
Sidmouth traders’ festive efforts have been recognised with a host of awards – including some specially-added extras.
The Christmas window display competition attracted a high standard of entries, with The Hair Temple and Coles landing the top prize in the large and small categories respectively. Tangles and Forever England scooped the runner-up prizes.
Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce awarded two further certificates - to Fields of Sidmouth for being the ‘Earliest Christmas Window 2016 Outstanding Display’ and to new business Dormy House for being ‘Down to the Wire and Worth the Wait’.
Chairman Mel Gater revealed that, next year, it hopes to make the competition open to all, rather than application-based.
